Model is a term I use when I reference clients because, let’s face it, if you’re taking direction for an image I’m shooting, I am treating you like a model. Brides and Grooms act as models, event guests act as models, and senior portraits are still considered models. You don’t have to be a Heidi Klum, Cindy Crawford, or Adriana Lima to be a model. Each of you have a unique look to capture and that is exactly what I intend to do. We all have our insecurities, but if you can trust me to capture you the way you should be viewed, you will see – you’re model.
I have been a member of Professional Photographer’s Association (PPA) since 2009. Every year comes and goes with no entrance to any of the competitions. What held me back? I am not truly sure what held me back, but all I know is every year I missed the deadline and almost missed it this year due to complications with loading my images.
Talk about a weekend of comfort zones. I do not believe I have been comfortable all weekend. It all started with Walter Olson and the artist challenge on Facebook. Then, I started a remodeling project based on ideas from Fixer Upper and Property Brothers. Darn you HGTV!
Rush jobs never end well. But, with friends in low places, sorry Brooks to borrow, I think this shoot ended fairly well. Just know the description of the shoot is no reflection on the people, just the timing.
In the photography realm there are too many websites, too many professionals, and too many other photographers to contend with. Are you photos on this site or that site? Are you a member of this Facebook group or that Facebook group? So many things to consider when being online. I never wanted to be pigeon holed because I am a guy and I have a camera (pretty expensive equipment I might add).
